Appearance

Tall and proudly stanced, Aderastos' height reaches just past 7 feet. He is muscular, and no stranger to intense, hard work. A scar runs down the side of his face, one he keeps there to remind him of the fallen, and those he couldn't save.

Powers

Aside from his massive physique, it comes as a surprise to many to find that Aderastos is, infact first and foremost a magical healer. Although he could use his body at powered strengths if he so wished, Aderastos firstly wants to heal the sick and the wounded by supplementing the body's natural defenses and properties.

Biography

Aderastos Rataj is the son of one of the Cardinalian Military Squad, and an Akkaian woman named Ngila. He was born shortly after his father was killed in a skirmish, and remained in D'Hennex when Commander Allard took the rest of the troops back to their homeland to the North. Being of strong parents, both Ngila and his father were power wielders, Aderastos grew quickly to have a reputation as one who never backed down. From his mother he learned the healing arts, and travels from village to village healing the sick, and tending to the wounded, when he is not in his home village.

Outside of his position as healer, Aderastos holds a religious zeal to keep folk safe, and takes extra caution to maintain the safety and innocence of children in a place where the age of majority is twelve. This zeal is maintained by his powers as a fighter and a mage as he fights to make Ka the safe place he has always dreamt of.

Aderastos is a family man, having married a young Jeati woman named Hesta they have three children, two boys and a girl. His first wife and childhood friend died two years after their firstborn, his daughter Lyda was born. He met Hesta a few months after that, and married her a year and a half later. If anyone was to harm his loved ones, Aderastos would lay them low without mercy.

His residence in one of the larger Akkai villages has more rooms than his family needs and would be thought of as needlessly extravagant if others did not know of its nature. Aderastos' house is a place of rest and healing to those around him, and the closest thing Ka has to a Hospital and Inn. The sick are tended to, the wounded are helped, and any wanderers that are found to be of non-malicious intent are housed there as well. The back of the dwelling has his family's space, as well as a smithy and a kiln, which are both open to the community and people of local descent. He does not charge for the usage of his spaces.
