Most notably, Ni'mah is quite tall. She stands just a hairsbreadth over six feet, and is on the thin side, though this goes mostly unnoticed for the amount of time she spends clad in layers of fancy robes. Though the young woman hails from Azshar, her environment has yet to take its toll on her body; rather than bearing a distinctive tan and sun-bleached hair, her skin is very fair, and her ice-blue hair matches her eyes.

Powers

Ni'mah brings with her to Cardinal a rare form of magery practiced in the badlands of Azshar by a select few. Though its origins have sifted beneath the sands of time, it is generally accepted that the style of magic originates from Azshar as well. The Azure Lore, as it's most often called, allows the users to garner a deep, technical understanding of their opponent's techniques and, with practice and enough exposure to it, actually use a foe's signature abilities against them. While just the ability to analyze an enemy's talents to the extent that Blue Mages can is a dangerous asset, copying their techniques lends a psychological edge as well as a tactical one.

Biography

Ni'mah has never known either of her biological parents, as she was adopted as an infant by an infertile couple in Hüplaatste. Being a rather hostile environment, it was not an ideal place in which to raise a child, but her parents managed. Living conditions in the city were harsh, attributable mostly to how difficult it is to maintain a livelihood of any sort when so removed from the 'civilized' world, but for the resilient and determined a living could be etched out of the cracked mud and rolling sand dunes.

At the age of 22, Ni'mah's father appointed her his apprentice, believing her to have the integrity and strength of character to endure a three-year training regimen that, once completed, molded her into a Blue Mage. As per tradition, her father is responsible for passing the secrets of his art on to two trustworthy individuals before passing from this world to the next. He has succeeded once in his daughter, but in turn become convinced that there is no one in Hüplaatste capable or worthy of being taught the Azure Lore. Enlisting his daughter's aid, he has sent her to Cardinal to find another apprentice.
