==Description==

Topmost in a Ranger's priorities and duties is to shield innocents and bystanders from harm. They are trained tirelessly to place their own lives in danger to protect the lives of others, and are better at it than anyone.

==Logistics==

This technique allows a Ranger to move into the path of an attack. This doubles both speed and eyesight while active. The user must be able to see the attack prior to activating this technique to use it. The attack must be of a nature that the Guard could conceivably intercept. The Ranger cannot continue to move once they have reached their destination, however if capable of blocking multiple attacks once there, this is allowed.

Additionally, if the Ranger has [[Rules:Focused Defense|Focused Defense]] or a similar technique  trained and has uses of it remaining, he or she may simultaneously activate it as part of this technique. Alternately, the Ranger may choose to activate a Ki Aura Explosion if they have one, once they have arrived.. Neither ability is required to use this tech.

Finally, a Ranger can pre-activate this technique ahead of time, naming a specific target to protect, and if a hostile character tries to attack the target in a way that the Ranger can perceive, his/her post becomes immediately next in the posting order and Protect is automatically activated.

Rangers (and only Rangers) may train this technique for 22(17/28) days.

A character can choose to further their training with this technique, increasing the speed and eyesight multiplier to 3. This training requires 22 (17/28) more tech days.
