Name: Dragon Imp
Type: Minor Race
Tech Bias: Good
Gain Bias: 3%; 6% cap
Available Power Type: Any
Major Advantages:
Evolution: unlike races who simply grow and change based on age, Dragon Imps do no grow or change look until they evolve. Unlike humans, or demi-humans Dragon Imps do not gain Epiphanies, but instead gain a new form and power. Once a Dragon Imp achieves Evolution they may grow, and their power increases drastically. On reaching Evolution, Dragon Imps total PL is increased by x1.5, and they may grow and change appearance. Evolution is repeatable.
Evolutionary Steps: On reaching certain PLs Dragon Imps have a chance to gain Evolution based on staff approved solo/rp. This may be attempted once a week.
Steps
- PL = 5,000+
- PL = 10,000+
- PL = 20,000+
- This continues infinitely doubling each step
Dragon Ball Sense: Dragon Imps are a race attuned with the Eternal Dragon of lore. Once per day a Dragon Imp may roll a d10; on a result of 1, or 2 a Dragon Imp becomes innately aware of the location of a Dragon Ball.
Immortal: Dragon Imps never die from aging, nor are they affected by aging effects. This includes temporal effects. Dragon Imps are a static creature in time.
Minor Advantages:
Wings: regardless of power type this character starts with a flight speed of 50% total (combined) pl.
Staying Alive: Dragon Imps store food and water for a long time allowing them to go without either for long periods if forced to.
Major Disadvantages:
Stunted Growth: Dragon Imps may only increase their PL by a maximum of x6 their starting PL on creation. Until they achieve Evolution or spend 60 base days (bias does not apply) they receive 0 PL from gains. Once Evolution is achieved the new form has a maximum PL growth of x6. Spending tech days this way increases the new PL cap by x2.
Retarded Power: Dragon Imps bodies seem to maintain their potential. Dragon Imp characters may not learn, or gain techniques/skills/abilites that add, or grant a multiplier to their PL. Evolution is the only way Dragon Imp characters PL's can be modified in this way.
Set In Their Ways: Dragon Imps are incredibly "hard headed" creatures and as such have a Poor Tech Bias for purchasing the CT: Enlightenment.
Minor Disadvantages
Mythical Physiology: Dragon Imps bodies are that of mythical creation and thus hospitals, and technology does not give them any bonus in recovering from incap. However healing techniques from Psi/Mage/Ki that recover incap have their effects increased by x3 up to 3 days recovered.
