Description
Focused Offense is a burst of power and speed granted for a directed melee offense, which comes at the cost of some flexibility and defensive capabilities.
Logistics
In order for this tech to work, there must be at least one person within effective melee striking distance of the user, during each post this tech is active.
While active, this tech multiplies ki melee strength and bodily speed by 2, WITHOUT ALLOWING CHARACTERS TO EXCEED EYESIGHT OR CHARGE CAP LIMITS, as it always has been. At the same time, all damage taken is multiplied by 2, and non-physical movement is not allowed (with the exception of flight for purposes of not falling). Though defending oneself physically is allowed, the user receives no power or speed bonuses to any defensive maneuvers performed.
If this tech is active during a post, it must be active during the entire post, not just a portion of it. This tech may be maintained for up to three posts per day, though not necessarily in the same session.
If the user also possesses psionic powers, due to the all-out aggression required for this technique, they may not use either Passive Defense or Active Defense while this tech is active. This technique does not improve the offensive abilities of their psionic powers, however, even when used in melee.
If the user also possesses magical powers, the activation of Focused Offense temporarily disrupts any durability-granting effects (spells which have other effects as well may still remain in play, but the durability-granting facet is disrupted) until Focused Offense ceases to be used. The defensive effect automatically restores itself at that point in the same condition as before it was disrupted without requiring further action or stamina expenditure.
