These are the official character rules for Shen'ihr. For the story-based description of them, go here.

Name: Shen'ihr
Class: Minor Race
Tech Bias: Good
Available Power Types: Any non-Physical (Ki, Psi, Magic). Note that Magic has social penalties associated with it.
History and Background Page: Shen'ihr

Major Racial Advantages:

Metahuman intelligence: The Shen'ihr brain evolved far more rapidly than the human counterpart, and this has led to a consistently higher IQ in the race as a whole. Shen'ihr society places great value on intelligence and creativity. The CT "Enlightenment" has its cost reduced to a flat 90 techdays, and grants success on a die roll of 4, 5, or 6.

Minor Racial Advantages:

The Eightfold Path: Pioneered by Varin Staciadon in the final days of the Anarch Wars, the Eightfold Path is a unique progressive transformation. Each "Gate" within the path is a seperate technique, and must be learned as such. Shen'ihr may apply for these gates as they would any other tech, however characters of other races must learn it from someone who has already embarked on the path.

Because of the intensely personal nature of the Path, a teacher may only assist a student in opening the first gate. Beyond that, the internal mindscape of the student is too alien to the teacher for him/her to be of any notable assistance.

Major Racial Disadvantages:

Reduced power gain: Shen'ihr have 2.5% gain instead of the 3% fight gain that Humans have. The Shen'ihr realize all too well that they have a considerable amount of time in which to accomplish their goals, and tend to work at a slower, more deliberate pace than more mercurial races. This decreased gain also reduces the character's daily cap to 5%.

Minor Racial Disadvantages:

Banned powerlevel: As the Shen'ihr are genetically predisposed towards possessing ki or psi power, they tend to rely on those natural powers to the exclusion of all else. Their laws prohibit the practice of magic.
