I've always used her long knives as long ranged weapons due to weapon prof, since it gives her a lot more speed, even if no damage bonus is given. But does having weapon proficiency also give her melee proficiency, if she chooses not to throw knives around? Or does she have to get a separate melee WP for the knives to get those bonuses?
