This article is to contain a record of important events, whether created by a player or by a plot event. Things should focus on events of note beyond a single character's purview -- what they had for breakfast is not, a villain wiping out a town is. If it would appear in a newspaper, generally speaking, this is a suitable place for it. Please date all events, for sorting purposes -- newer events should go at the top, and older events at the bottom.

Villain Apprehended: The Initiative Reveals Itself
The Saiyan suspected to have attacked and killed several mortal civilians at a religious festival nearly one month prior, met his match when attacking a jewelry store in West City. The Saiyan, identified as Kajitsu Kiui, soon met with resistance, as several power wielders attempted to thwart his plans. Among these power wielders could be found Onikara Shinto, a Ranger Guard trainee. Others included a feline demihuman, and two other unidentifiable power wielders. The power wielders merely identified themselves as being part of a group called the Initiative. It is expected that Kiui will be imprisoned in the Prison Island shortly.

Small spring festival razed
A small gathering of a few hundred people were gathered that day for a festival for a minor nondescript religion when they were attacked viciously by five suspects. The first appeared to be a large saiyan accompanied by four humanoid looking men. They first attacked and killed their spiritual leader then proceeded to attack the innocent people.
Arriving to the scene to assist was a felinid demihuman, a strange suited human or android(the true identity was never revealed), and a saiyan. After using a false moon technique to turn herself and the other into their giant ape form, she left after he lost control and started killing innocent mortals uncontrollably and in much larger numbers than he was before. The villagers were saved by the young feline demihuman which captured the false moon in a sphere of rock causing him to transform back after which he escaped.
The unknown female saiyan is wanted for questioning by the Ranger Guard and a sketch has been released to all central city and northern city mortal police precincts.

East City Attacked
A 'great beast' attacked the city shortly before nightfall. With him was what many refer to a demon. The two creatures murdered at least ten people.
Two people attempted to stop the beasts, was a felinid demihuman and a saiyan boy. The beasts defeated the saiyan, hospitalizing him. The demihuman fled the scene. Sketches of the beasts were made available to the Ranger Guard, as well as blurry photos.

South City citizens strike back
More than a week after a state of emergency was declared in the South City province, the Ranger Guard and local law enforcement have coordinated a massive counter to the debilitating, chronic mayhem that has left the metropolis all but lost to anarchy. More than just soldiers and police, a veritable platoon of emergency services personnel, members of the Peace Corps, and an ever-growing counter-army of peace now acts like an anti-riot, sweeping through the streets and buildings of the ransacked city, repairing what is broken and replacing what is stolen. Hundreds of injured or dead formerly unaccounted for have been recovered. Thousands of looters and troublemakers were rounded up, to be shipped to Prison Island, where regardless of power-wielding status, they are to be held until they can be properly processed.
Officials on site roughly estimated a bounce back of nearly 20% containment overnight, which is being called "an incredible effort" of those amassed. Though much of the city still is damaged, on fire, and/or without power, the mood is very optimistic where once it was bleak. Though there have been clashes between rioters, rebels, and the police, the two main identified antagonists of South City's situation have not been seen so far. Rumors have spread that they have been vanquished, or that some kind of deal has been worked out between the opposing forces. However, no officials of law enforcement, Ranger Guard, or the city itself have come forward to confirm or deny those rumors. Command Sergeant Major Arnold Blackraggen, commander of the Ranger Guard and the leader of the operation to retake the city, could not be reached for comment.

Mutant creatures escape, cause havoc in Cyrr
Rumor travels that some of the grotesque, mutated beasts that have been plaguing Ka and its borderlands were sighted a great distance away, in the An-Yneaithan city of Cyrr late one evening, caged and sedated and under heavy armed guard. The creatures managed to break loose suddenly during a problem with one of the wagons, and a bloodbath ensued. Rumors vary on how many died and how the massacre was put to an end, but Cyrr still stands and several rumors corroborate that a particularly powerful Redcap and a foreigner of varying description were instrumental in bringing the beasts down.
A wagon driver was hanged for gross negligence and mass manslaughter soon thereafter. Nothing seems to substantiate what the creatures were doing in Cyrr, sedated and caged -- speculation runs wild.

South City in State of Emergency!
The Directional Council of Cardinal today declared a state of emergency over South City and its surrounding area, in response to the actions of Selene Alexander and her villainous thugs, who yesterday disabled the entire power distribution system for the city. Hospitals are running on generators, but otherwise the city is dark. The death toll is impossible to calculate, currently, but authorities were grim-faced when they acknowledged the fact that without power, there were certain to be casualties in the megalopolis, especially as the water and sewer systems cannot operate without the power grid. Disaster relief groups are already shipping in emergency supplies of food and bottled water, among other supplies.
The city's police force, helpless in the face of the strength of the villains, has been rendered further ineffective by Alexander's act of destroying various police precincts throughout the city, breaking down their ability to keep the streets safe even from regular criminals. City officials are doing what they can via an emergency command centre, but their ability to act is limited. Looting and rioting is alleged to have already taken place in some parts of the city. Authorities are appealing for calm while they bring evacuation plans online to bring citizens out of the danger zone until order can be restored. A reliable source indicated that the Directional Council is strongly considering enacting martial law in South City and dispatching the Special Adept Forces -- the first time that the elite force will see action within Cardinal itself, normally the jurisdiction of the Ranger Guard.

South City Bank Heist
A power wielder today attacked a major bank in South City and levelled the building to the ground. The alleged perpetrator has been captured by the Ranger Guard and is being detained awaiting trial. His identity has not yet been released. The total death toll is estimated in the hundreds but an exact measure will not be known until recovery crews finish digging out the building.

Bombing in West City
The Black Knights struck again, destroying several city blocks of West City today as the opening to their latest raid. The death toll has not yet been officially released, but is said to be significantly higher than previous attacks. Already, the bounty offered for the leader of this vile force has been doubled, and the bounty on his servants also increased. However, this attack did not go without loss to the Black Knights, as the Ranger Guard have confirmed that at least two of the Black Knights were killed by defending power wielders during the course of driving off the villain. At least one power wielder also assisted in efforts to search for survivors of the blast before professional search and rescue teams arrived -- an unusual step, as most power wielders have been known to flee the scene of their battles before even the Ranger Guard have arrived. The police cordon prevented reporters from interviewing the power wielder in question before he left, and the Ranger Guard have refused to release his identity, stating that the security of their investigation might be compromised if they did so.

Sale of Terror
Late-night market revelers had their hopes dashed as the Black Knights once again struck deep into the heart of Central City. At least thirty are confirmed dead, a number of people injured when the infamous knights released some sort of acidic toxin into the air. A battle between the Knights and a mysterious dark ensued, until the Ranger Guard descended upon the scene. Alas, it was too late, the Black Knights had already escaped, but the other power wielders involved were detained pending an investigation into the needless collateral damage surrounding the area.

Chaos vs. EI?
Disaster in Central City today, as the villanous Black Knights struck for the first time in two months. Witnesses say one Beyea Lurian of Empirical Industries stood against the leader of the Knights single handedly, and fought valiantly to the last. Reports vary about whether the woman survived the attack, but sources say it looked grim. Three thriving city blocks were totalled in the resulting explosion, leaving few leads as to what became of the warriors, and the occupants of the buildings. The confirmed death toll is well above the hundred mark, as of yet no final numbers have been released as rescue crews attempt to salvage citizens caught in the rubble.

Little Guys Tread Upon
On Sunday evening, an aspiring group of technological experts laboring diligently on a project that has only been related to the media as 'Echelon,' met an unfortunate road block. Two women, unidentified but presumed to be power-wielders, entered a laboratory based in East City and outright stole all information relevant to the product the men and women had been designing. Though the scientists have been surprisingly tight-lipped with authorities, general grumblings have been sent in Empirical Industries' direction. No clear connection can be gleaned with how uncooperative the individuals involved are being, though some are beginning to speculate...
Two men were injured in the attack, and both were reportedly in stable condition a few hours later.

McEathon Arrested!
Late Friday afternoon, one of the nation's most controversial figures, Brian McEathon, contacted the press to inform them that he was going to turn himself over to the authorities. There is video coverage which will be aired tonight on the eleven o'clock news that features a well dressed Mr. McEathon walking calmly up the steps of the Municipal Building in Capital City. He was arrested just before six and was taken to an undisclosed location.
Channel Seven news anchor, Malinda Jones, managed a short interview with Mr. McEathon just before his arrest; he is quoted as saying: "I've always felt that laws are here for a reason and that everyone should follow them, I'm just sorry I didn't do this sooner." Stay tuned for updates on the McEathon case at eleven.

Succubus Reemerges!
After a lull in activity, the unnamed succubus that most citizens of East and South City are quite familiar with appeared off the coast of East along with at least ten other power-wielding demons. Though their presence was detected some ten miles off, allowing the personnel at Moody Ranger Base a few moments of preparation, other power-wielders did not come on to the scene until the order to withdraw from the base was given. Though the complete destruction of the base was prevented as a human, Saiyan, and demihuman stalled the attackers long enough for more powered help to arrive, the damage done is extensive. The base is reporting that until repairs can be made and more supplies can be requisitioned, the location is considered MICAP, or mission-incapable.
There were no fatalities during the attack, though one of the power-wielders on the scene, who had volunteered to spend time training the body of mortal Rangers stationed at Moody RB, was incapacitated by what appeared to be the leader of the raid. It is reported that he was taken to Deius, and has recovered fully from his injuries.

Narrow Escapes!
Yet another museum has been pillaged in West City today, as the Black Knights slated their blood-lusts for valuable artifacts. Reports from the authorities state that several people were severely hurt in this attack, spectators all correlate in the supposition that it was, in fact, the leader of the Black Knights, who narrowly escaped. The museum officials have not released a list of the stolen items so far. A Saiyan woman was found with her fingerprints over an artifact, and its damaged case inside the museum, and she has been detained for questioning by the Ranger Guard. Little is known about her involvement with the Black Knights.
