Appearance

Asmodean has no truly notable physical characteristics. She has a handsome face with a sharp nose, hair the color of ripened wheat, and eyes the color of granite. Her skin is fair. Her clothing does not reflect directly upon any single D'hennexian culture; she often wears a strange combination of free-flowing white robes with heavy ceramite pauldrons. Her build belies her tremendous physical strength, and despite the apparent cumbersome nature of her apparel, she wears it with ease.

Powers

Asmodean possesses the ability to directly influence the flow of time. Even for power-wielders of great strength, manipulating the fourth dimension to gain a specific end is incredibly difficult, and few possess the ability, whether by natural aptitude or other means. Asmodean's own abilities stem from the unintended results of an assassination attempt that left her jarred free from the flow of time and trapped in a parallel universe for exactly 3,000 years. This has had expectedly negative effects on her sanity, and to some degree her physical well-being as well.

She has gained, however, the ability to treat time as malleable, pinching, twisting, and contorting it. A simple example is the ability to 'squeeze' time so that it is constricted over a specific area an unable to flow as freely, much like folding a garden hose in half. When the pinch is released, time rushes to correct itself, and in doing so allows for objects within the specified area to move much more quickly than they should.

Biography

Asmodean was born in D'hennx, prior to the rise and fall of King Ain. Very little is known about the age in which she lived, though it can safely be assumed that technological and social advances were on par with what could be expected of such a young civilization.

Born with incredible physical strength, she was identified as one of the few chosen for great things by the gods her civilization worshipped. This was not actually the case, of course, as she was simply what most recognize today as a run-of-the-mill power-wielder, specifically a ki-wielder with a stunted spirit that left her body powerful but her spirit weak. She was raised as a warrior goddess, and saw a great deal of conflict and bloodshed as she led the contests against hostile civilizations and other indigenous threats. By her twenty-second birthday, she was believed to be an avatar of their gods' collective wills, and had never once been defeated in battle.

Rather, it was the ambitions of an alchemist that would nearly be her undoing. Though viewed as sacred by some, others thought her to be anathema, a testament to the hubris of man and their lack of reverance for the 'true' gods. Operating under the assumption that Asmodean could not be slain by a mortal hand, he instead formed a pact with a powerful demon that, likewise unable to kill her, lured her into a trap that dislodged her from the flow of time when it was sprung. There, it kept her imprisoned for 3,000 years, aware of her predicament but incapable of aging and dying. She thought herself damned to insanity by her own immortality until by freak coincidence the powerful demon was slain by Ciel Deschaine, freeing her from her prison. In the span of two years, she has begun to recover her immense physical strength, which has now been augmented by her newfound ability to influence the tides of time with nothing but sheer willpower.

Considering herself a relic of a long-forgotten past, Asmodean concentrates her efforts solely on survival rather than attempting to establish a new identity for herself. She fights alongside a group of mercenaries based in Annyra, where her curious abilities have secretly garnered the interest of Sidhe wizards.
