Description

When a psion attacks a remote target, the telekinetic attack becomes lost from their control, much as a common ki blast or magic spell does after leaving its owner. This tech permits a psion to implant a tiny piece of consciousness inside each attack, permitting increasing levels of control over the path their attacks take.

Logistics

Spatial Reach allows a psion character to control the direction a gimme TK Rush or Wave is taking. In order to do so, the psion must spend one slot to control the attack (one slot per attack). The attack will continue to persist until it naturally ceases, or for one post after the last time it was mentioned in a post.

Spatial Reach is a multi-level technique. Each level of the tech permits incrementally greater turning angles per turn. Each level of the technique must be finished before the one after it may be begun.

  • Level 1 - Attacks may turn up to 45 degrees in one post. (Major turns)
  • Level 2 - Attacks may turn up to 90 degrees in one post. (Right angles)
  • Level 3 - Attacks may turn up to 180 degrees in one post. (Hairpin turns)
  • Level 4 - Attacks may turn in any direction, at any time. With this level, the user may also cause the attacks to stop (at which point they stay in place until disturbed or impelled to move again).

Each level of this tech costs 45 (34/56) tech days.

Note: You can use this concept with other power types, but you must apply for it as an original technique. Additionally, this is a power-linked ability. This means that similar original techs for other power types will cost more tech days and/or credentials.

Note: Level 4 of this ability is a psionic signature ability. This ability may not be duplicated by other power types.
