Also the warrior caste part about all gimmies being at 2x the lesser pl or their normal PL is confusing, what is the normal PL? Is it the combination of their PL's or is it the greatest PL they posses? In either case 2x the lesser PL will never be greater than the PL's combined. Since gimmies are a very minor part of most combat (it being largely tech based) I think that a good addition to this caste would make it so that techs which combine both PL’s for their numbers be charged at a smaller rate than normal. (Much like Ki gets healing and stuff at a lesser rate than say...magic) [[User:Timmzorz|Timmzorz]] 12:40, 11 December 2006 (CST)

:Remember that the castes also all have the other, non-caste-specific bonuses for being Namekian.  This means the Defender caste has a better healing rate than a Human, regeneration, the ability to stretch body parts, enhanced detection in the first place, and fusion (which doesn't come up too often).  Humans have full Good bias and epiphany over the Defender, and Epiphanies almost never happen.

:The Warrior caste essentially allows the Namek to combine its PLs when determining gimme strength.  Take, for example, a Warrior Namek with a KiPL of 1000 and a PsiPL of 3000.  Normally a basic ki blast would deal 300 damage (30% of 1000).  However, the Warrior caste bonus allows the Namek to consider his KiPL (the lesser PL) as double what it actually is for Ki gimmes, yielding a 600 damage blast.  The "or their normal PL" part refers to when this advantage wouldn't actually help: The above Warrior Namek would use a telekinetic wave at 20% of the normal 3000 PsiPL, because twice the lesser PL (meaning 2 times the KiPL, as KiPL is lower than PsiPL) will just end up being 2000, and 3000 is obviously better than 2000. Was there a reason we didn't come up with a good caste for pure Ki or pure Psi? Tiryst 22:56, 3 December 2006 (CST)

That's a good question. What if someone wants to make a Namek that uses only Ki or Psi? I've got a guy in development right now that only needs to use Ki. Is there room to add a fourth caste for standalone Ki/Psi? Alternatively, maybe there could be an addition to the Warrior caste, to allow for some slight, different benefit for only choosing one or the other? Lampdevil 23:02, 3 December 2006 (CST)

I agree, a caste for ki/psi only would be good.

More love for teh Nameks

As I was reading this I noticed that the first class; Defender Caste, doesn't really offer a player any real reason to play this caste(speaking from a pro vs con comparison of Namek Vs. Human). Instead of giving them the CT's at a good bias why not make it a good+ bias, or if they chose the enlightenment CT as a tech, an excellent bias. This would of course be only limited to the physical CTs.

Remember that the castes also all have the other, non-caste-specific bonuses for being Namekian. This means the Defender caste has a better healing rate than a Human, regeneration, the ability to stretch body parts, enhanced detection in the first place, and fusion (which doesn't come up too often). Humans have full Good bias and epiphany over the Defender, and Epiphanies almost never happen.
The Warrior caste essentially allows the Namek to combine its PLs when determining gimme strength.
