Applications Status

Should we put a page (under Technical Info, with the recent rules updates page) concerning which apps are being handled at the moment? Given the number of people who have Hotmail or other mail accounts that apparently eat emails on occasion, the frequency of my being asked if I've replied yet is rather high. We could just have a list of each staffer and the name of each app being handled by that staffer, with a last action/date mark for them, or something. Tiryst 10:49, 14 July 2006 (CDT)

That's kinda why I reorganized the Off This Mortal Coil section the way I did -- so we can add stuff like that if we want.

Next phase

We're aiming to change this AltWiki into the new official AltDBZ homepage. As soon as we get everything transferred over, we'll need to get it structured less like a dependent information resource and more like a proper website for a public IMC room.

Which means the main page will need to get uncluttered, and restructured, first and foremost. We'll need a greeting, a description of the room (perhaps slanted like a hook to bring newbies in), and then links that lead off to major areas like we have on the existing site. It won't have to be as "pretty" as the current page is, but it will need reorganization. That should be easy enough.

Grammar

Didn't know where else to ask this, sorry.

When referring to a generic singular third person, what is the preferred term? Should we use "him or her", "him/her", or just pick either male or female and consistently use the single gender across the board?

I've seen several different methods being used, and I've even seen "them", which irritates me to no end because it's definitely incorrect. Personally I'd prefer to simply pick a single gender pronoun for it. Tiryst 13:38, 31 August 2006 (CDT)
