Founded by Shiki Shinagataami, the Yamato Gakuen is an academy that caters to all, but with a major focus on the safe and responsible use and development of supernatural powers. To that end, the usage of powers in controlled environments is promoted and encouraged often, going insofar as to provide a forum in which social advancement can be achieved.

The academy boasts some of the best professors of the country, and thus promises nothing but a top notch academic education for all of its students. Mortal and power wielder students alike are challenged with said high education, a must for any student wishing to remain within the academy.

However, Yamato Academy boasts a robust program that caters to power wielders in the form of extracurricular clubs. Students are encouraged to join any number of clubs, all of which help to bolster their academic achievements, so long as they fulfill their club responsibilities. These clubs are comprised of, and run by, the student body, and administered with a helping hand from the student council. Any student may apply to join any club, though any one of them may have special circumstances or entrance exams that have to be complied with first. Likewise, any student may apply to create his or her own club, provided they submit the proper documentation to the student council. Of special note is Yamato Academy's policy on club leadership: each club president may have to defend his or her position at some point, should a more able member present himself.

Campus

Yamato Academy boasts an expansive campus situated just outside of Central Capital. Funded by Capsule Corporation, it boasts a state of the art architecture capable of withstanding powered-fueled attacks. Aside from the main school, where most of the classrooms, labs, and the like are situated, the campus boasts a number of buildings:
-Administration
-Clubhouses
-Dormitories
-Cafeteria
-The Hachi-Shippo Stadium
-An auditorium
-Dojo
-Gymnasium
-etc.

The campus is ever evolving and changing, catering to the needs of its growing student body.

Clubs

Joining a club has its social benefits, allowing students to connect with one another and their communities via extracurricular activities. For power wielders, clubs in Yamato Gakuen also provide a vast environment in which they may practice and develop their abilities within a very controlled environment, teaching them a safe and responsible way to control their powers. Such environments bolster and promote a heightened growth, as students discuss and develop their powers with their peers, juniors, and seniors.

Club Perks

The perks of joining a club are as follow:

  • A student wishing to develop a new power may join one of the core clubs and ask for an official lesson. 3 Stars provide a PL of 300, 2 Stars a PL of 200, 1 Star a PL of 100, and No Stars naturally means the lesson failed. The MUN of the OT will gain 5 TDs for every lesson of this type only.
  • Heightened Gains: Every lesson, save for the one mentioned above, nets a student 10% of his or her PL. These gains do not count toward TotalPL, but rather the PL type that pertains to said lesson.
  • NPC club leaders do not teach any sort of regimen or style of combat. Rather they act as teachers and mentors for their club members, providing insight and feedback instead. Any student that has any in progress technique can solicit an official lesson with a club president, which will count as a Training RP. Depending on the quality of the RP, the student may obtain up to 3 extra TDs (one per star) than normal, plus the aforementioned PL bonus. If the OT is an NPC, its MUN may apply the same TD bonus to any of his Cs, as well as PT redemption for any of his Cs. A staff member is needed to approve this system.

Club Leadership

Every club must have at minimum one administrator, referred to as the club's president. The president may delegate tasks as he or she sees fit, but ultimately is the representative of the club at large. A president's status may be challenged within the club by any of its members, which will result in a duel or contest of strength depending on the club itself (examples might be an archery contest in an Archery Club, a fencing match in a Fencing Club, etc). The Student Council will ultimately decide the nature of the challenge, though for the most part a challenge will result in a one-on-one duel.

After a club president challenge, the victor will have a grace period of 30 days to enjoy his or her club presidency. After that, his or her presidency status may be challenged again.
