My only concern with this location is that it flies against everything else Azshar is supposed to be about. It's safe, hidden, and thriving. Everything else in the continent is a survival game, sand pirates, or a lot of criminality. If no one else shares the sentiment, though, I wouldn't really give it too much thought and approve this as a location. --Marcus

I would just caution you to not go too crazy with the "suddenly we're letting new people in" schtick, because if word gets out too much, the crafty Azsharan mafias will hear about it, and they'll find some way of getting in and/or revealing the city, and the raids will start again. ... Not that I have any authority on this continent anymore, but as the original concept author, that's my thought. I also want to say the Nexus the first dudes found was probably a powerful artifact of the ancient ruins that the sand pirates and mafias fight over, which in turn is linked to the events behind the Jungle Fever plot a while back so that could give some plot development options, but of course, that's up to you. --Ice 12:06, 3 February 2013 (PST)

I agree. The idea is hopefully player characters who originate from this area do no just start letting people in. As of now it would take a lot of time and trust for my character who I'm play-testing from the area to even consider a outsider. The population make up is about 99% native Venustasians. I was going to mark that a character must also be attuned to the nexus, and thus the protecting wards to even enter the area. That "key" could either be a passive tech, or a mini-skill that I could elaborate further in case there were to be plots developed for outside DV's, bandits, etc to enter the city. People caught giving information out about the city in a casual manner would be considered highly treasonous which would result in execution. Also a retro fitted tie-into the room would be welcomed. --DaShizer 4:20, 3 Feb. 2013
